Félix has earned the Telecommunication Engineer degree from the University of Sevilla (Spain) and the Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milano (Italy) thanks to a Double Degree agreement within the T.I.M.E program.

He has developed his professional career in the software domain, working in different fields (IoT, telecomunications) and scopes (development, analysis, continuos integration). Simultaneously he has also assumed some team management roles and tasks mainly using agile methodologies.

  • Software Engineer, Solera

    Jun 2021 - currently

    I am working on a backend architecture composed by more than a dozen of microservices that provide data to some Solera insurance tools and also to a couple of mobile application for a well known truck company. The main tasks of our small team (two backend devs) have been the development of new features, the maintenance and bugfixes of the existing components and the improvements on the monitoring of the different software components. Besides, we have taken over the migration of these services from PCF cloud to a Kubernetes infrastructure in VMWare Tanzu, adapting the pipelines and the configuration needed mainly using Concourse.

    • Technologies: Java, SpringBoot, MySQL, MongoDB, Docker, Pivotal CloudFroundry, VMWare Tanzu, Kubernetes, Concourse, Proget, Git.

    Also I offered myself to be part of an internal "Engagement group" in which a reduced number of people are working together with the HR department on how to improve the satisfaction and the engadegement of the employees in Sevilla's office. In a very short period of time and at pandemic era, Solera has set up a new office in Sevilla with more than 200 employees and there are still a lot of aspects to improve regarding culture and employes care. We are actively discussing and working on the implementation of proposals, initiatives, and ideas to have happier employees and better workers.

  • Software Engineer and Unit Lead, Novatec

    Oct 2016 - May 2021

    Working for an important project on the automobile industry. Development, deployment, monitorance and maintenance of components and applications based on a microservices architecture covering the whole software development cycle starting from the gathering of requirements to DevOps operations. SCRUM and Kanban methodologies working remotely with distributed teams, travelling regularly to the headquarters of the company in Stuttgart

    Besides of my work as a Software Engineer, I have acted as a Unit Lead which implies being the interface between the company and a group of employees. My main tasks were keep track and coach them in their career paths -paths that we Unit Leads have helped to create and define-, manage the budget for salary raises and overall, be closer to them to solve doubts, identify their concerns and necessities and perceive and improve their satisfaction in the company. I have been part of the recruitment process, evaluating candidates both in the technical and personal aspects -to assess wheter they fit with the company culture- and improving the way and the process in which Novatec do interviews.

    Software development, testing and analysis for the SON product: an optimization software solution for mobile networks using Self-Organizing Networks algorithms. Multi-vendor and technology support: Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei and Alcatel-Lucent for GSM, UMTS y LTE networks. Agile Methodology: SCRUM.
